 Learn to play brilliant and powerful music from Zimbabwe on six marimbas; large wooden xylophones played with mallets.  Our kind of marimbas were developed in Zimbabwe in the 1960's to play the music of the many different cultural groups who live there.  The ensemble has four different sizes of marimba: soprano, tenor, baritone and bass, plus hand rattles and vocals.  No experience is necessary - This is an introductory class, though experience playing another musical instrument is helpful.
